These Bank Bonuses change over time and banks come out with promotional deals all the time. We keep an eye out for you and find the best deals out there.

You usually need to sign up for these accounts through the banks promotional website or get some type of promo code from your local branch. So make sure to keep that in mind.

We recommend that you contact representatives from each bank to get all necessary details before pulling the trigger on any of these deals. Also, double check to make sure these deals are available in your state.

But there is some free money out there for the taking. Points Gang loves that.

Here are some of the best bank bonuses around right now:

TD Bank – $150 or $300 Bonus

How To Get It

$150 Bonus- All you need to do is open a new TD Convenience bank account, transfer $500 from an outside source (cash deposit, direct deposit payments, wire transfer from account with other bank) within 60 days into your new account. That’s it. You will get an extra $150 put into your account from TD bank. That’s a 30% return, even though you never really have to spend any money- just move it. Beautiful.

$300 Bonus- Through that same account mentioned previously, you just need to transfer $2,500 into that account within that same 60 day opening period. If you have some money sitting around in savings accounts that you don’t necessarily need to use right now, this is not a bad option. An extra $300 never hurt anyone. This is an extra 12% added onto your deposit. You have to move around more money, but you also get double the dollar amount in returns. If you’re not on a super tight budget and are just moving numbers around, sometimes it makes more sense to go for the bigger dollar amount return.

Wells Fargo – $400 Bonus

How To Get It

Open up a new Wells Fargo Everyday Checking account through their promotional page or receive a promo coupon from your local Wells Fargo branch. Then, you deposit $4,000 over the next 90 days after opening your account.

$4,000 is not a small amount of money to be throwing around, we know that better than most. But an extra $400 is on the bigger end of reasonable dollar amount bonuses you’ll be able to find out there. If possible, move some money around and put an extra $400 in your pocket. If not, don’t sweat it. You still have plenty of other options.

Bank of America- $100 Bonus

This one has a couple extra steps and details to watch out for, but still a decently easy extra $100 to have. Push some buttons on the computer, maybe talk to someone on the phone for a few minutes, and get $100. Not bad.

How To Get It

Open up a Bank of America Advantage SafeBalance or Banking checking account through their promotional page. SafeBalance will require a $25 deposit to open, and the Plus account requires a $100 deposit. Remember- you aren’t spending or losing this money… you are just depositing it into a new bank account which is yours.

After you open an account, transfer two deposits of at least $250 within the first 90 days after opening the account. Again, this money will have to be either a transfer from an external bank account, cash deposit, or direct deposit statements. That’s all.

These bank accounts have specific requirements once they’re open.

SafeBalance has a $4.95 monthly fee, which is waived if you are enrolled in their preferred rewards program, or are under 24 and enrolled in school.

Plus account has a $12 monthly fee, this is also waived if you’re under 24 and enrolled in school- or if you have monthly deposits of at least $250 or a $1,500 daily minimum.

These strings attached are annoying, but not impossible. Don’t let yourself get overwhelmed, make a plan that works for you and go do it. There’s an extra $100 for the taking.

Chase Total Checking- $200 Bonus

How To Get It

Open up a new Chase Total Checking account, and make a monthly deposits of $500 within the first 60 days of opening the account. You will then get an extra $200 put into your account from Chase.

There is a $12 monthly fee, but that is easily waived as long as you do one of the following: deposit at least $500 per month, maintain $1,500 minimum daily balance, pay at least $25 in approved fees or services.

Our advice would be to consider just making the monthly deposits until you hit that daily balance minimum, since that is required for to get the bonus anyways. That way you get bonus and waive the fee at the same time. Take your $200 and run.
